40x External CD-RW Writer
Singapore --2 July, 2001-- Today, TDK
sets a blazing new pace in CD recording with the introduction
of its fastest external recordable CD burner, the 40x External
CyClone CD-R/RW.
The TDK 40x CyClone writer is an external USB2.0 drive offering the ultimate
in recording, rewriting, and read speed performance. Featuring 40x write,
12x rewrite and 40x read speeds with USB2.0 connectivity, the new CyClone
is capable of burning an entire CD in approximately three minutes. The
drive is also backward compatible to USB1.1.
Dean Tan, product manager, TDK Singapore Pte Ltd, commented on the introduction

As with all CyClone hardware, the new CD-R/RW Writers include Buffer
Underrun Protection technology and CRSC (Continuous Recording Speed Control).
Buffer Underrun Protection is a sophisticated method of data-stream and
writing-process management, which not only guarantees error-free writing,
but also preserves the multi-tasking capabilities of Windows PCs in full.
CRSC continuously monitors the condition of the recording area over the
whole disc to determine the highest possible recording speed allowed
by the media used.
All TDK CD-R/RW writers come complete with bundled software including
Ahead's acclaimed NERO BURNING ROM 5.5, InCD 3 and TDK Digital Mixmaster
- programmes that number among the most versatile CD burning software
currently on the market.
In addition to their eye-catching design, the CyClone kits feature a
complete set of user friendly accessories (installation poster, technical
support guide, cables, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-R Pen) for the convenience of
the consumer.
The new TDK CyClone CD-R/RW Writer's estimated retail price is S$339
incl. GST.
