TDK, a world leader in innovative audio/video recording and playback
solutions, today introduced a breakthrough in music portability
and fun — the TDK I'MASPEAKER. The compact, multi-function
I'MASPEAKER looks just like a standard CD carrying case — but
flat-panel speakers hidden in the case lining provide rich, clear
sound. Users simply plug a portable audio player or laptop into
the unit to begin enjoying great sound anytime, anywhere.

TDK's I'MASPEAKER (Integrated Music
Accessory Speaker —pronounced "I'm-a-speaker")
is a convenient on-the-go alternative to headphones, boom boxes
or standalone satellite speakers. I'MASPEAKER is available in two
models (dual-speaker and single-speaker versions), in a variety
of different textures and colors including blue, black, and red.
For maximum listening enjoyment, the dual-speaker
model holds 24 CDs and offers seven hours of playing time using
three AA batteries, while the single-speaker version holds 12 CDs
and provides eight hours of playing time using two AA batteries.
TDK is the first company to market this unique
speaker-in-a-CD-case concept, which utilizes advanced SurfaceSound™
flat-panel speaker technology developed by NXT, a leader in innovative
audio solutions. Both I'MASPEAKER models are compact, yet provide
open, natural and expansive sound quality. The dual-speaker version
measures 166 x 310 x 55mm while the single-speaker I'MASPEAKER measures
just 165 x 165 x 55mm — proving once again that great things
